Biography
Julianna Romaniuk is a customer relations manager in NCATS’ Office of Administrative Management, where she supports the Orientation Committee within the Ethics and Management Analysis Branch in onboarding new staff members and assists with maintaining the ProgressivE Enterprise Personnel System (PEEPS). She also manages the staff photo directory and provides intranet content management support. Romaniuk is involved in various working groups, such as the Strategic Alliance Workgroup and Intranet Governance Committee, as well as event working groups within the Center. Romaniuk joined NCATS in June 2017 as a staff assistant in the Office of Administrative Management, where she worked on a variety of special projects. In addition, she assisted with database management for the Office of Strategic Alliances.
Romaniuk earned her Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a concentration in women’s studies from the University of Maryland, Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Prior to joining NCATS, she worked as a social media strategist at a global advocacy organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable diseases, particularly in Africa, curating content for its media outlets.
Romaniuk received two NCATS 2019 Director’s Awards in the “Unsung Hero” category and a group award in the “Collaborator” category for expert coordination and thoughtful planning of the Opioid Crisis and the Future of Addiction and Pain Therapeutics: Opportunities, Tools, and Technologies Symposium.
