Biography

Laura Bailey Joell serves as a program support specialist in NCATS’ Office of Strategic Alliances (OSA), where she provides administrative support to the OSA director and other OSA staff members. She joined OSA in October 2019 and, using her extensive experience as a paralegal, performs various administrative duties, including drafting client correspondence, managing staff schedules, and coordinating tasks.

Prior to joining NCATS, Bailey Joell acquired seven years of professional experience working alongside an executive team, including as an intellectual property specialist at Oliff PLC, a law firm specializing in patent, litigation and trademark acquisition. During her tenure at Oliff PLC, she met aggressive deadlines and managed patents using progressive systems and applications, including accounting software, mass communication procedures and organizational applications.

Bailey Joell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in business management, from Bennett College, a private liberal arts college for women in North Carolina.

Professional Interests

Bailey Joell specializes in administrative technology and is dedicated to providing quality support for the OSA. She has completed several development and administrative courses to refine her skills.
