Biography

Monica Carter-Donerson, a program analyst in the Office of the Director within NCATS’ Division of Clinical Innovation, supports the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program. Prior to joining NCATS, Carter-Donerson was a program analyst at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in the Division of Translational Research (DTR). In that capacity, she provided expert analysis to support the planning and evaluation of the DTR portfolio in relation to the goals and objectives in the NIMH Strategic Plan and division priorities. Her contributions to various initiatives significantly reduced program officers’ workloads, enabling them to focus more intently on their scientific responsibilities. Previously, Carter-Donerson was part of the program support team in the NIMH Office of Science Policy, Planning, and Communications.

Carter-Donerson received her M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.

Professional Interests

Carter-Donerson’s professional interests include health care disparities, specifically within mental health. She enjoys mentoring and coaching individuals, helping them identify and develop strengths, as well as recognizing and achieving their personal and professional goals.
