Chris Maurer joined NCATS’ Ethics and Management Analysis Branch as a management analyst in January 2017. He administers NCATS’ telework and emergency tier designation programs, as well as delegations of authority, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) and employee engagement.
Prior to joining NCATS, Maurer worked at the NIH Clinical Center as a management analyst in what was then the Office of Management, Planning, and Public Liaison. In this role, he served as coordinator of the Integrated Time and Attendance System, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program, and Leave Bank for the Center. Maurer also served as a purchasing agent at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute before becoming an NIH Management Intern in 2011.
Maurer enjoys developing and implementing new policies and procedures and has contributed to NCATS’ Onboarding Toolkit. At NCATS, he is a member of the Employee Engagement Committee and the Human Resources Work Group. He also participates in trans-NIH groups, including the NIH Employee Engagement Liaisons.
