Meera Shah joined the NCATS Office of Rare Diseases Research (ORDR) as a program analyst in December 2018. She works with the ORDR team on numerous projects and programs to advance diagnosis of and treatment for rare diseases through research. Shah also manages the social media accounts for the ORDR.
Prior to joining NCATS, Shah spent two years at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in its Intramural Research Program (IRP), where she worked as a program specialist in the Office of Fellowship Training. Shah primarily worked on establishing a science communication training series, developing website content, and collecting and analyzing NIMH IRP fellowship data.
Shah received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of South Florida and her Master of Public Health degree from the George Washington University.
Shah enjoys working with ORDR and supporting the goal of accelerating research and developing new treatments to improve the lives of people with rare diseases.
