Matthew T. Zeback is a grants management specialist in the Grants Management Branch, Grants Section B, within NCATS’ Division of Extramural Activities, where he assists the grants management team in performing various day-to-day duties, such as developing innovative grant arrangements to resolve critical and unprecedented program needs. He also advises applicants and grantees on financial and management issues relevant to their applications. Zeback’s primary focus as a grants management specialist is to mitigate risk, maintain compliance and ensure financial accuracy.
Prior to joining NIH, Zeback served as a grants and contracts manager in the department of radiology within the division of nuclear medicine at Johns Hopkins University. In that capacity, he worked closely with the faculty and staff within the department on various pre-award and post-award requirements and assisted the professors, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students with obtaining research funding from for-profit, nonprofit and federal entities.
Zeback supports NCATS’ mission to catalyze the generation of innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the development, testing and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions.
