Biography

Ruby Geng, M.S., is a software engineer in the Informatics Core of NCATS’ Division of Preclinical Innovation. Geng is a front-end developer for CURE ID. She works on and supports the release of the project’s website and mobile app (iOS and Android). It allows providers around the world to report new uses of current drugs to treat infectious diseases that do not have adequate treatments. CURE ID also allows researchers to share treatment information faster than traditional publications. The project began as a partnership between the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and NCATS.

Before joining NCATS, Geng was a front-end developer at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB). At NIBIB, she supported the development and release of several projects.

Geng holds a master’s degree in computer science from Xi’an University of Technology.

Professional Interests

Geng focuses on mobile app and website development. She enjoys using state-of-the-art technologies and working with C++, Objective-C/Swift, Angular and 3D Engine.
