Biography

Brittany Gibbons is a health specialist in NCATS’ Office of the Director (OD), where she manages strategic and special initiatives for NCATS. Previously, she served as a scientific program manager and special assistant to the director in the OD.

Prior to joining NCATS in October 2020, Gibbons spent six years at the University of Southern California, where she led the successful establishment of a clinical research program and managed a diverse portfolio of clinical trials, specializing in inflammatory skin diseases, care delivery modalities and patient-centered health outcomes. Gibbons also worked as a program officer for the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program hub, where she reviewed clinical trials for scientific impact, assessed feasibility, and recommended clinical research applications for award.

Gibbons holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Middle Tennessee State University, a master’s degree in public health from the Colorado School of Public Health, and a certificate in clinical research from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

Professional Interests

Gibbons enjoys working with diverse groups to find creative and innovative solutions to public health issues. She is inspired by and committed to supporting NCATS’ collaborative and innovative approach to translational science.
