Biography

Andrew C. Patt, Ph.D., is a bioinformatics scientist in the Informatics Core of NCATS’ Division of Preclinical Innovation. He develops and maintains software, including:

  • MetLinkR (a tool for standardizing and linking metabolite names)
  • RaMP-DB (a database of functional annotations for metabolites and genes)
  • FLIPRTools (a tool for screening compounds using the FLIPR calcium channel assay)
  • DTSEA (a tool for identifying novel drug target combinations from high-throughput screening data)

Patt earned his doctorate in biomedical science from The Ohio State University in 2021. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry with a minor in biomathematics from SUNY–Geneseo.

Research Topics

Patt uses his bioinformatics and biostatistics expertise for various -omics and compound screening efforts both within the Informatics Core and across NCATS.
