Terrence E. Rudd, Jr. M.A., is a medical science writer-editor in the Communications Branch of NCATS’ Office of Policy, Communications and Education, where he focuses on producing news and feature projects. Rudd has worked in medical news publishing for more than 25 years as a reporter and editor. He has covered health care law, policy and finance, as well as clinical and research news for Elsevier and WebMD in the specialties of dermatology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, and pulmonary and critical care medicine. As an editor, Rudd has produced newspapers, websites, video series, and podcasts featuring clinical experts and medical researchers.

Rudd holds a B.A. in biology from The University of Chicago, a B.A. in social sciences–international relations from Michigan State University, and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Michigan.

Professional Interests

Rudd enjoys using multiple media platforms to tell the stories of how medical research discoveries become effective clinical treatments for patients.
